It has just been
announced that because of very committed supporters of the Denny Dennis Share
the Harvest program in the St. Louis area, that once again there are some
co-operating processors that successful deer hunters can donate their whole deer
to food pantries in the area AT NO COST for the processing. Skinning fees may
apply at some processors.
The updated costs and co-operating processors are:
Johns Butcher Shoppe in Festus : No Cost if donated deer is skinned.
Johns Butcher Shoppe in Overland: No Cost if donated deer is skinned.
G & W Meats and Bavarian Sausage in South City: NO COST ! skinning not necessary
.
Matekers Meats -Concord Village : Will be charging a $35 processing cost
plus a skinning fee if unskinned.
Those volunteers who work to promote the Denny Dennis Memorial Share the Harvest
program certainly thank these processors for all they do to make this program so
effective in supplying local food pantries with nutritious venison. For many of
the unfortunate, this is the ONLY supply of red meat that is available to them
and demands are extremely high.

this program in order to provide funds to assist the needy please call

A big thanks is in order to the South County Sams Club, the Missouri Deer
Hunters Association, the South County Archers, and this year Mike Shannon's
Steak and Seafood and the Gateway Chapter of the Quality Deer Management
Association for their generous financial support in helping fund this program in
the St. Louis area.
As an extra incentive to DDMSTHM venison donors this year, Tony Kalna of the
Missouri Deer Hunters Association will provide a full year membership to every
hunter donating at least one deer. Dennis Dennis will reward any individual or
household donating at least five deer with a $25 gift certificate at Denny
Dennis Sporting Goods.
Four hundred donated deer will provide about 100,000 meals to the needy of the
area. If you can't donate deer, consider a tax-exempt donation to the program.
